Welcome to my 3D adventure!

I am finally in fun animation classes! I was very nervous about entering the world of 3D but I quickly learned how somewhat simple it was for me and how much fun it was. Here are a few things I've been doing the past few weeks. Feel free to leane feed back and suggestions on how to make things better. I'm always wanting my work to look better and learn more!

Maya 2013 Practice

Hello bloggers and followers:

I have begun a new semseter of college and am taking a 3D modeling and animation course. It is week three of classes and am IN LOVE with 3D. I have never touched it before this and am so glad I did. I can't wait to begin animating. Here are a few rendered images of my work so far, and again, I'm only on week 3. I combined my love of IndyCar and Maya.

We begin working on lighting and texturing next week in class! Can't wait to add detail to the IndyCar!

2D Motion Studies

I am in a 2D animation class this semester and our first assignment was to do a motion study. Thats what my professor called them anyways. This one was my favorite and I think drawn the best. I am also taking a 3D animation course so this blog will be filled up quickly with assignments and new things I am going to learn!

There are some issues I see the more I look at them! Let me know how I could improve! Comment down below! Thanks!

Challenge.

Hey followers! I am in the middle of animating my final project for my stop motion class and it is becoming a challenge. I animated a shot today of my character flying through the air. I animated it three times to get it as good as I could. I still have a lot of work to do refining my animation skills but I think is coming together nicely.

Here is the shot with wires.

Stop Motion Extra Credit

For extra credit in my stop motion class we were to do a simple animation test. I sculpted the character and having a large aardman influence he looks straight out of Creature Comforts. my two group partners and I animated this in 2 hours. The timing isnt perfect and his wings have a weird timing issue in the middle due to my poor editing but overall I am happy with him. Still need the money for the Stop Motion Pro and you can see :)

1

Being my sister’s senior year and being an aspiring photographer, I was taking a few of my sister’s portraits. This shot was taking at a nearby park. Where we were located at the time was very shady and the lighting wasn’t great in the picture but I like the shot. I used curves and levels feature to make the image brighter and bring the color out more. Then I duplicated the layer, applied a Gaussian blur and then used a layer mask to un-blur her. I also used some of the correction tools to fix any imperfections on her skin.
